Ill be getting a iPhone 3G right away here, dont wanna miss out on the 6GB/$30 plan that rogers has so im finally going on a contract. Dont really want a case to bulky for me.

Ive seen 3 that have caught my eye what does OT reccomend?

FullBodyFilms' Protection Pack for iPhone 3G ($17)
NLU Products' BodyGuardz for iPhone 3G ($25),
Zagg's Full Body InvisibleShield for iPhone 3G ($25).

interesting...the reviews on ilounge gave it a b, but on the forums people have said its a piece, and the installation is quite cumbersome...

i know with the iphones/ macbooks they are amazing products, but im kinda leaning away from it

yea, he has whichever one they test by going at it with a key and its perfectly fine after. it took him a long ass time to put it on, but one its on you better believe it will look brand new underneath forever.

I've got the Agent18 Case with the anti-glare film set. I might consider getting the Contour Fusion so it's a bit smaller.

i have a zagg invisible sheild on my ipod touch. it wasn't hard to install really. i had trouble installing one on my 3rd gen nano because it comes in multiple pieces.
the one for an iphone/itouch is really going to be a couple of pieces and no cutouts for the buttons etc

just make sure you spray down the sticky side really well before you apply it. this will allow you to slide it corrrectly into place and then squeegie it out. let it rest for 24 hours or else it will slip around and maybe bubble or pull up an edge

Not at all. I've owned all of them (Bodyguardz, Zagg, and Bestskinever). The best quality, fit and ease of application is Bodyguardz by far.

    Bodyguardz > Bestskinever > Zagg

Bestskinsever and Invisible shield alter the 'feel' of the touch screen. I would recommend the one that most apple stores have in-stock that feels just like the screen does. If your planning on protecting the whole phone and not just the screen then Invisibleshield makes a great product, but again - I wouldn't recommend that for the screen.

Not true at all. The Zagg has a bumpy texture that makes it a bit tacky and hard to slide your finger across. The cut of each is different too. The Zagg is slightly cut too small to cover the entire screen properly. It's back piece also requires little dots to cover the corners. Bestscreenever has a better pack piece cut but not it's total coverage isn't quite as good or easy to install.

As you can see the design is slightly different on each.

yeah the cut may be different. my bestskinsever has almost a minute orange peel texture to it. the back piece of the bestskinsever isnt total coverage? i dont know what you installed but mine covers all the way up the side of the chrome. the only pieces exposed are the top part of the chrome by the bezel. it'd be impossible to cover those

i guarantee that i could install all of them the same way and they'd all do the same job the same exact way. it comes down to price and bestskinsever wins.

When you buy one product from Bodyguardz you get 20% off all future orders. 20% off a MacBook Pro cover is a decent discount.

I'm very pleased with my BSE front and one-piece back protectors. They can be kinda tricky to install, but seem to offer great protection against scratches.

I don't use one, nor have I ever and I still have my original one from a year ago without a flaw on the glass. It's the same as watch glass, you really dont need anything on it. Honest apple employees in the store will even tell you not to get one.

Actually, everyone I know has the anti-glare film set and I know that they are one of the top selling items at the store around me. People like the idea of no finger prints, and some people thinks it gives it added protection. I suppose it does protect it a little better, but it's not like it's going to protect it if it drops on a sharp surface. But I don't like finger prints, so that was my reasoning.

True. And optical glass at that so even more resistant to scratching.

I actually like the rougher texture of it as opposed to the bare glass screen.

I was initially against putting a skin on my phone, but after discovering a couple microscopic scratches and dent on the back of my phone, I ordered a bestskinever and at the minimum will be applying the back skin...I'm still undecided about the front skin.
