Linksys probably has easier firmware if you're a newcoming.. that and I absolutely detest netgear routers..

    D-Link's stuff isn't bad....

Depending on what kind of computer you have (Gig NIC) or a possibly of a 108 MBps Wi-Fi laptop, I'd recommend the D-Link DGL-4300 GamingLounge Router. It's what I use.

for consumer end, linksys is the only thing i would bother with, dlink and netgear are both crap IMHO. go with the wrt54L (or wrt54g PRIOR to 5th edition) and put a different firmware on it.

    all your linksys needs: http://www.linksysinfo.org/

linksys wrt54g, it'll handle anything you'd want to use it for at home, plus it isnt netgear who releases firmware that crashes their own routers then make you pay to get warranty repair on it...fuckers.
