I just finished reading it. It's good information.

Cliffs: You win by being lucky or by being mentally prepared for it to happen to you. There's a lot more to think about in the article. Just read it.

The orange tape on the front sight is an interesting idea.

I've heard of people getting super bright, gaudy orange finger nail polish and painting their front sights with that.

Hmm maybe its just me, but that seemed exceedingly verbose and not all that helpful.

You either see your sights....or you dont. You'll hit sometimes. You'll either get scared....or you won't. I'm biased because there are so many variables and individual reactions I don't think you can write a "what really happens in a gunfight" article that has anything other than either or situations...which just doesn't seem that shocking to me.

I think he did a pretty good job of explaining how your mindset and training can have an effect on the outcome of a gunfight :dunno:

If anything like that ever happens to me, I hope I can react quickly to it. You tell yourself that you could react to a situation well. Yet until you really get into the situtation you have no idea how you will react. Ive almost been in a couple accidents before, One involving a tire on a car blowing out about 30 feet in front of me on the interstate. The car started sliding sideways and slowing down really fast. I almost froze up and didnt do anything because I had been caught by surprise and wasnt prepared for it. Luckily at the last minute I checked my rear view mirror, slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right. I missed the car by a little over 2 feet

However I live in Illinois, so if there was someone pointing a gun at me, I would get shot.

i work 3rd shift at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, so i always run scenarios through my head, and I unsnap my thumbsnap whenever I get to work to save time if I need it.. so all you faggots who get pussyhurt when we talk about what if scenarios, read these lines:

:werd: same here. I get bad enough reactions from my wife. When I start talking about it with my friends they look at me like I'm psycho. They're convinced that I just carry in case I get the excuse to shoot someone someday :hs:
