what program for torrents

    i'm new to the mac scene and don't know what programs to use to torrent?

    what do you guys use and where can i find it?

    i found transmission to have too few options, and it doesn't support RSS or have enough encryption options.

    i started with Vuze (formerly azureus)...while its a bit of a memory hog and has far too many options, i was able to encrypt the shit out of the traffic.

    whats your thoughts on BitRocket? i had heard someone else say that's what they used to torrent on macs...

    utorrent with the webui extension is amazing. idk on mac though

    Transmission works just fine for me. :dunno:

    how exactly does transmission work? :o:o

    i downloaded it then went to iso hunt to try to download a cd but i couldn't get it to open in transmission :hs:

    you download the .torrent file from whatever torrent site you want then open it in Transmission...

    utorrent despite being a beta has been better than transmission for me. though transmission is more feature rich

    i finally figured transmission out!

    i like it, its way better then utorrent for pc :eek4:

    I still can't figure out how to choose which files I want to download from the torrent in Transmission or uTorrent, which is why I'm still using Vuze (Azureus).

    A lot of times I'll download an Album from What.cd etc, but only want 3 out of 12 songs.

    you "get info" on the torrent and in one of the tabs there is a checklist.

    I love the search feature of Xtorrent and how it's built in, but xtorrent locks up a lot

    transmission doesnt handle multiple large torrent files well in my experience
