so far (none really related too strongly to performance)

    bosch plugs/wires
    eibach prokit
    flowmaster 50 muffler
    straightpiped the cat
    k&n FIPK-II

:dunno:. low restriction exhaust and the k&n kit really opened the car up well above what it does stock (160hp 200ft/lb torque - stock numbers, correct me if im wrong)

im not going to have the car for any longer than another year, but what other kinds of performance mods would be nice in the meantime?

This may not be an extremely helpful answer, but why sink more money into mods if you're not going to have the car very much longer? You won't get your money back, and aside from a supercharger you're not going to see that much difference from anything, really. Sure it'll help, but not enough to play with the big boys. I'd say leave it as is and save your money to mod your next vehicle. Just my opinion. :)

Set fire to it and collect the insurance to buy a real car instead of a high school girl's sweet sixteen birthday present. Hope that helps...

LT1 conversion has costed me 2.5k
not bad investment, considering I shaved off 2.20 seconds in the 1/4

modding N/A V6's is like throwing money into a tar pit. You shoulda forked up the extra cash right from the beginning and got the Z-28, aside from forced induction or Nitrous Oxide there's nothing you can do under 2 grand to make it faster.

    Garbage can mod is best.

Seriously, take the advice from above. Modding that thing is a waste of money.

Dude, I used to have a '94 3.4L V6 Firebird. That thing was so damn slow it hurt.

I had that car when I was in high school, which wasn't bad. Insurance sucked, but at least it wasn't a V8. Now, I've got an '04 GTP which is ridiculously faster than that car, especially with regards to mods.

If you're only going to have it for one year more, don't waste the money. Save it up and get something a little better next time. Might I recommend a slightly used Grand Prix GTP. I pay about $2000 less in insurance per year, and the car will run high 13's to low 14's all day long with about a grand in mods. Quite a bit better than a car that you'd be lucky to turn a 16.5 with.
