Just interested in knowing what OSes the C&P section uses :)

Me = GNU/Linux, in case you haven't picked up on it ;) I use Foresight, but I recommend Ubuntu to newbies, and I always keep it installed.

I dunno, Windows Server does a good job as far as I've seen. Why is it sad that you use it?

It's a good server OS, mainly because of AD and GPO options.

I voted GNU/Linux cuz I'm posting this from my Ubuntu install. But I also use Win XP pro. I'm having so much fun with Linux that I don't even want to boot my Win disk.

Over the past several years I've evolved from Windows to Linux to OSX.

i use xp pro on my server. i have to, because some programs will only work with xp pro, like tivo desktop etc
i would be using server 2003 otherwise though (i'd need more ram, it's a dual processor pentium 2 400mhz with only 192mb ram:rofl: - but works great)

I'm using XP Pro now. But hasn't been updated for a very long time. Still running Service Pack 1.
Don't know yet about switching to Vista. Perhaps if I can get a cheap student license.

Use Advanced Server 2000. It's activation-free and it works just as well as Server 2003 once it has all of its updates.
