I've only had my SLR cam (which is my first) now for a cpl of months but I already feel horny for a new lens (dunno why, lol). Currently uses the default 18-55mm IS lens :greddy:

What would be a good upgrade?

Lets say it don't want to spend more than $350 (if that's possible?).
Sorry I can't be more specific on my requirements but I just don't know :hs:

    Halp!

keep in mind they are kit lens replacements, is that what you want? or would you prefer something new?

all of those lenses cover almost the same range as the lens you have now. sure they are better, but they will feel about the same.

Tamron 17-50mm if you don't mind the non-IS, loud motor, and opposite turn focusing ring.

If you can swing it, go for the Canon 17-55mm IS

I've only shot with my 18-55mm IS Lens, I don't know what's it like shooting without IS. Big difference? How important is it?

It's not really important <70mm as long as you have some light.

Note I'm still a n00b so I'm not completely mastering this camera's capacity.

Also, all these shots have been processed in Adobe Lightroom.
