Thinking of getting a M38 or M44
91/30 or bust
elevation adjustments out to 2km ftw
i have a 91/30 and an m44
So do you use it a lot for long range? The 91/30 that is.
I have shot mine out to about 300 (farthest I have had a chance to). It's fun
I can't think of a place around here I could shoot that distance.
Untill I was basically invited out into the back fields by the owner of the place for the shoot, I didn't know of a place with that range either.
I have an M44 but want to get a 91/30 to go with it soon.
I have 2 91/30s. One being a WW2 PU sniper.
I might get a second 91/30 and put a scope on it
Would you guys rather have a M38 or M44? Not sure if I'm keen on the bayonet.
I don't own either, but one friend has a 91/30, the other has a m44. I don't think you can go wrong with either. They are both fun as hell to shoot. If I ever buy one, i'll probably go with the m44 just because it's a little bit shorter, and all I'd really use it for is just plinking.
The 91/30 gets awesome looks at the range though, just beacause it's so massive.
m38, m44, 91/30 once you get one you'll want to collect them all.
If you were to only have one, which may not be my case... but for now, what would you get between the 38 and 44?
I've not really shot any of them past 300 yards, out to that range there all pretty consistant with accuracy. So I'd say pick the one who's style you like best. Out of the ones I have I favor one of the 44's the most cause it's pretty beat up and must have some interesting history behind it.
m91 and m91/30
M38 made in '44
Just hold out until your local store gets one in good shape, a lot look like shit, but really nice ones do exist. I spent a few months checking my local Big 5's every couple weeks and eventually found mine that didn't even look like it had been used.
