I need some mags and the ones I am looking at are made be either Mec-Gar, Ram-Line, USA, and Pro-mag. Are any of these worth a shit?

    They are 9mm mags for a pt99/92

I think I could but I would have to modify them. Also I dunno it Beretta mags would fit the newer 17 round PT99 I have.

Hmm... Well, in that case, if you can't get factory mags I'd go with Pro-mag.

My experience with pro-mag is mixed. I bought a P220 magazine of theirs that failed to feed the third round. Repeatably. I have some polymer 30rd AK magazines that haven't given me any trouble, but since they're polymer, I'm not going to chance leaving them loaded all the time, thus I pretty much never use them.

I'd go with the mec-gar. I bought some of their 20 rd mags for my beretta and they've been flawless

Mec-gar is the only quality brand on your list, so that's the only choice.

As mentioned, they are the OEM for Beretta, SIG, and several others.

On the other hand, the Novaks magazines I got for my P220 have worked fine thus far (for several dozen rounds apiece anyway).

Mec-Gar makes the mags for my M&P, no problems here. I too have had issues with Pro Mag magazines. I wouldn't suggest them. They work like crap in my 1911.
