I know html along with css... and the basics of php.
what now ?
how is your design skills? CSS?
jack of all trades, master of none ftw
get good in at least one scripting language. I like PHP.
MySQL is a definite...
And CSS should be obvious...
yeah my design skills are pretty good. and css gets boring after awhile
Yeah i really want to get into SQL but i want a smaller language which can help me get into sql more easily
I think i know the basics, but never really get to use it that much
so which to learn first? CSS or PHP?
its pretty easy
PHP is a derivative of C++ and Perl.
I'd suggest getting into Ruby on Rails or Python. They seems to be close cousins.
Definitely. But also learn CSS perhaps while, or before you learn those if you want to do web development.
yeah im pretty good with css already
get good at php knowing a heap of languages is good but knowing a select few really well is much more useful.
post examples of your "pretty good at css"
i learned perl after php. I'm using it to run a couple of mysql scripts on a linux box so i've found it pretty useful
that will be the wise direction but since he is headed towards php none of that will actualy do him anygood
hey does any one have a large collection of eBooks/pdfs with good reading material in it on programming various language... particularly php right now.... i wont be able to DL til i get off work though but that would be appreciated... a large zip file ftmfw
I have a couple. I know I have one on PHP.
and css.... ?
Hook us up?
Being decent in a lot of languages won't beat being an expert in one.
I'm pretty proficient with English. I'd suggest Spanish with the way our country is looking in terms of acceptance to that culture (assuming you are in the US).
