Is that asking to much for a first time site? Any help to lead me in the right direction would be great.

Look into affiliate marketing, head over to wickedfire.com and sitepoint.com.

do people honestly think making money on the internet is that easy?

Ive had my site for a year and just recently started bringing in 200 or so a month....You cant just make a site and expect to bring in 200-500/week...

If I had a site idea that could pull 200-500/week, I'm certainly not telling you or a public forum for that matter....

I have one site that's pulling about 700-800/mo that I started 2 months ago... but the ones I started years ago have never pulled that much. It's trial and error, make a site, promote it, see how it does. If it's not a good niche you'll realize that and try another.

Like showsquare said, start small, build a site and try to pull ANY revenue, then dump the money you made back into the site for advertising or a new design or whatever. If you've got a good thing going the money will come eventually, but it's not going to happen overnight.

    A good one.

It is that easy. Just remember, sales powers our economy; not content. Content can lead to sales, but alone it is not a stable nor reliable source or income.

It gets easier to make money after you have made money off of a site before. Its the type of shit you learn by experience

try to break even on your hosting fees on your first site.
then after that goal is met, shoot for more!

+1 unless you have lots of resources behind you. My first site was just for fun, not until several years later that I made something that would generate reliable revenue on the Internet. But then again, we all can dream! :bigthumb:

I can't go into specifics because I haven't yet, but it seems like the best thing to do is to start a site with the intention of being a business, then market it like a business.
