What kind of shoulder injury is this?

    I did an upper body workout yesterday that included pullups, flat DB bench, horizontal rows and a few light arnold presses. During bench I felt a kind of sharp pain in my left shoulder but it wasn't quite bad enough to make me quit. It felt fine during rows but then hurt a little again when I did the arnolds.

    Then later in the day it started to hurt more and as I was going to bed it really fucking felt bad, like a searing pain. It's more of a dull pain this morning.

    Basically I can do a lateral raise or rear raise motion with my arm fine, but when I try to extend it infront of me it hurts. But by FAR the most painful is when I try and cross my arm over my body. That really hurts :wtc:

    So what do I do OT?

    it's an injury that ur orthopedic doc can answer

    Yeah I do, pretty thouroughly (sp?). It feels a bit better now.

    If its a dull pain, you might have strained your shoulder. I remember a pitcher that strained his throwing shoulder and he was out half the season.

    I have something similar but mine kills when I try and do any type of bench. Straight out hurts bad but otherwise it's fine. Mine feels like my pec.

    I layed off it for a week and a half, worked out other stuff. Also applied icy-hot at night and it's getting better...

    Fuck these guys, I work in physical therapy, and I say... see an orthopedic doctor! :x:

    and in the future make sure you're pinning your shoulderblades together during bench
