Right now I'm using an old 19" Gateway VX900. This damn thing is huge and I'm tired of it being right in my face because it's as deep as it is wide. It's time for a flat panel, but I'm not so sure I like the quality of them compared to my 19" CRT.

I've considered a Lacie 319 LCD but I'm not sure I want to spend that much money on it. If not a Lacie, then maybe a Viewsonic xxxxx?. :dunno:

Any suggestions? What do you have & what would you have if price weren't an issue?

I got the upgraded "ultrabright" screen and I'm glad I did. My pictures looked completely new in comparisson to my old monitor.

Nobody have a Lacie or any interest in one?

Dell always seems the majority but I wonder if it's solely based on price? I doubt the quality is there compared to LCD's that are geared towards post processing work like the Lacie.

    ^^^ Nice!

The one on the left would bug me with all that white space beneath it though compared to the right one.

Well "the one on the left" is a full computer (20" imac). Then there is an extra 20" acd.

Yeah, all on 1 pc, the 2 17's are on the PCI card, not used for gaming etc... just FTP, SSH, Hex editing etc...

Here's a SS from the desktop.
