Met-RX bars from wal-mart. Only like $1.67 for a 410 calorie bar with 32 grams of protein. And some of them taste real good.

Anyone try the musclemilk bars? love the taste though damn expensive. Same price as others per box, but only 8 per box instead of 12.

Why? Tried some other bars and they tasted like candy (I don't like super sweet things)
Good amount of everything: 42g protein, 38 carb, 9 fat, sodium+potassium, vitamins and minerals and whatnot, 410 calories
Kinda tastes like powder and it's hard to get down (definitely need water) so i'm open for suggestions too.

Anyone have any good recipes? I tried to make some tonight with: milk, oats, egg whites, peanut butter, and chocolate whey and it was ok...just not sweet at all and quite dry.

I PMed him and here's the answer I received on how to make them:

hey. all i do is put about 3 cups of PB in a large bowl and throw in enough scoops of whey so that it drys up the gooeyness of the PB but also leaving the mixture moldable. sometimes i put in some oats and olive oil. you just dont want a really gooey mess. after i mix it and mold it into a large sqaure i put it in the fridge for a few hours and cut into pieces. i basically make them impromptu every time
