I would never buy one but I'm sure they work some of the time and only jam every couple magazines.

I would buy something alittle better. rugers are pretty inexpensive and pretty good.

if you want cheap and reliable you are probably gonna have to go with a revolver. you can get an inexpensive one like charter arms and they still work fine.

Oh yeah another brand that is good quality and fairly inexpensive is taurus.

If it's all you can afford, some gun is better than no gun. But i think you'd be better to save a little more and notch the budget up to at least $250-300 or so and hunt for some used S&W Mod 66, 19, 36, or even a 10. Going with Taurus, you can find a Model 65, 66, 85, or 62. Most of these for less than $250 even. (And there's actually a model 62 .38 on gunsamerica for $130 right now.)

A .38 that you know is gonna work is far better than a 9mm that might work.

If you want a semi, you might consider one of the surplus Walther P1 9mm's, which can also be had for $300 or less.

Wanna die? Buy a Jennings or a Lorcin. You might as well be shoving the money up your ass.

I paid $330 for my Ruger, its a P-89T 9mm, Rugers are inexpensive, but very reliable guns, easy and fun to shoot, easy to take apart to clean.
People on Ruger fourms have 20k rounds through theirs with not even a misfire.
