I can never trust magazine scans for credible information. But please Audi, let the public have this

I can see it now. Tuning companies boosting these cars to well over 1000 lb/ft of torque. It would be great to see.

I would almost rather this car is a V10 TDI myself. Or a V12 with cylinder deactivation for highway cruising  or not :hsugh:.

Unlike on the Nissan GT-R, a crossbeam going through the middle of the grille (horizontally) would improve its appearance a lot.

It's 90% vents now. Too much IMO.

agreed, keep in mind its a v12, and its a rear engine car. meaning the grille wont do much...

If you had a background in aerodynamics, you'd look at it like this: the air is in the way of your car, but your car can use the air in certain ways to enhance its performance. So, you can either shove the air out of the way and write off the lost energy, or you can grab the air and channel it to somewhere in/on/under the car where it can do something useful, and then you can at least justify the energy expense as a way to get the air to do work for you.

No, I don't have a background in aerodynamics. I have friends who work for Boeing instead.

or, you need a way to cool off your engine so that it doesnt over heat and ruin a 100k dollar car.

Which is one of the ways air can work for you, yes. That doesn't explain the other 23345987543 vents on the car's body, though. Some of them are for the radiators, some of them are for ground effects, some of them are for the brakes...hell, maybe some of them are used for retro-rockets. But I'm gonna bank on every single one having an actual purpose.

Mechanical Engineering student at SLU. :wavey: I completely agree with your post above, but functionality can still be ugly as fuck! I guess they are paranoid after having two or more TT V10 mules burn to the ground.
