    Non refrigerated or liquid protein?

I am eating once an hour, very very small meals from the hours of 8-11, noon is lunch, 2-4....I eat Archer Farms trail mix for the hourly snacks....

I would like to have a good source of protein that doesn't need to be refrigerated or a shake....

    I was thinking beef jerky...

Ceaze....I can pull information off the internet to support both sides of any argument.....

I know that in 10 weeks I have dropped 52 pounds, from changing my diet and working out....Yes I was working out before the 10 week period.....

My protein intake is about 1-3 grams max per snack and I would like it to be 5-7 grams.

The snacks are decently balanced between fat/protein..

This is working for me right now and I need some ideas on good protein sources...

Ceaze it seems like you have read all about all sorts of things. What do you supplement with for working out ?? If anything at all.

The smaller cans of tuna? :dunno:

Hard boiled eggs would probably be good for a day or so outside of a refrigerator.

Homemade protein bars, there are probably some decent ones you could purchase too if you looked around.

You could also just eat whey out of the bucket. Someone seriously needs to combine powdered supplements and the delivery method of Pixie Sticks.

trader joes used to have a peppered flavor for like 11ty billion $ a pound. I could eat that shit all day.

Making you're own trail mix is also good.

I really recommend steak for snacks as well.

Oh and the reason pro's eat 6 meals per day isn't because they're having snacks to keep up their metabolism, they're doing it because eating 2 lbs of chicken breast 3 times per day kinda sucks.

I am doing it to lose weight and keep energy throughout my day. It is working so far. I would like to have it balanced out more with a bit more protein. Right now I am sure I eat less than 60 total grams a day.

All of my suggestions have already been posted, but I do have one suggestion. If you find yourself hungry at any point during the day an you are using a liquid protein source, try to replace that with liquid with a solid protein source.

For example, for breakfast, I was mixing whey protein in with my cereal and I found I was full for longer if I ate an egg instead of the scoop of protein.

I usually boil my eggs in an electric kettle, because it is very fast and I can leave it to boil while I do my other morning activities. It is pretty time efficient.

If you're so concerned about keeping your metabolism high, retaining your muscle as you lose weight should be an equally as important concern for you.
