What is this active control stuff?

    I just did a windows update cuz I had reformatted, and at first it never did this.

    Normally on sites that have like windows media player embedded into a page and I wanna play any video, it always tells me to click to activate control.

    wtf is this?

    It does it to me on all myspace pages too to either turn off or play music on someone's player.

    here is a screen shot of what I mean. When I hover over it, it will bring up a stupid border.

    Not really their fault. Just another reason why companies that exist just to acquire obscure submarine patents and litigate for profit suck ass.

    ah ok. understandable. just kind of made me mad that I found this article saying they don't care about trying to do anything to fix this though.

    I had the same issue here at work after that IE update. I Upgraded my ColdFusion server and it took care of the problem...

    They did release info on how to work around it for web developers.
