i'm looking for a "new" classic revolver. i don't want a hammerless something or other, or some gaudy overpriced piece. what will be a classic in 15-20 years?

    I'm fond of my GP100.

.357mag, 6-shot, SA/DA, built like a tank. Ergonomics work for me. Recoil is not severe. Available in matte stainless if that's more your flavor.

Is that like asking what the new classic typewriter is? :big grin:

I guess the s&w model 60 is the same gun it was 40 years ago. The 619 modernizes it by giving you 8 rounds...I guess. A 686P gives you 7. Really not alot has changed, its a revolver.

my SO's dad has a model 27 s&w that is really nice, thats what got me on this kick. he shoots it all the time but when you see it compared to his other revolvers, its like wow thats nice, and classic. i just wondered what is made now that will have that same effect in 10-20 years
