If i drink 1/2 gallon a day i piss alot. If i drink 1 gallon a day i piss even more.

What is the difference if it just creates more piss? Does my body actually absorb two times the nutrients from water if i drink 1 gallon as opposed to 1/2 gallon? What scientific study is there to back up the rule about drinking 1 gallon of water a day when working out and/or while taking creatine?

I think my co-workers are starting to think im shooting up drugs everytime i go to the bathroom.

Just to hydrate yourself. I usually drink 1-2 litres of water a day. Don't really notice myself needing to piss more than before, but probably do.

wouldn't the extra half gallon/extra urine flush out more bad shit from your system? Isn't that the point of it? If I drink 1/2 a gallon at the end of the day my urine can be yellow, if I do a gallon, it's usually white (note: not the exact amounts I drink)

More water = More waste washed from the system. Protein stressed the kidneys. The more protein you eat, the more water you should drink.

Besides, dehydration is probably the biggest cause of strength/athletic performance loss.

Do you guys count stuff like coffee/tea/juice along with your water intake?

coffee and tea act as a diuretic, so no

juice is not water to me, but some people count it...to me, only water taken in in pure form counts towards my daily intake

I was always under the impression that the diuretic effect of coffee was fairly minimal when compared with the amount of liquid you actually take in when drinking it :dunno:

    it is

If you're counting ounces of water then you're doing this shit all wrong as it is. Just DRINK. It hydrates you. There's no magic number for you or anyone else, everyone sweats, works, eats, weighs differently.

    +1

I don't count, I just drink enough so there is a hint of yellow. Totally clear piss can be an indication of overhydration

    Is it in yet?
I remember when i said that and Ceaze responded with "you'd be wrong" :wtc:

Then he pulled up studies showing that there isn't enough caffeine in the drinks to cause your body to shed water.
