what is the difference between body building and strength training?

    dont muscles grow period and develop the same way aside from a neurological perspective?
    i mean visually dont muscles grow in one way? how come one looks different when body building in comparison to strength training?

    Strength is more neurological and has more to do with your CNS, motor unit activation, and all that shit rather than straight up mass.

    body building is to look like a pretty boy and brag about how cut your delts look on CNN.

    strenght training is a real man activity. Bench pressing a volkswagen is where its at.

    Both seek to make the body adapt to imposed demands. BB want the body to adapt through hypertrophy, and powerlifters want the body to adapt through hypertrophy and increased motor nueron activation. The mainly differ in specific training modality and nutrition. I know powerlifters who are fruit loops and bodybuilders who don't look in every mirror they pass.....

    Perhaps it's because they don't pay as much attention to their diets and nutrition as a dedicated bodybuilder would?
