GUN What is the best place to find accurate and up to date gun laws?

    I've looked at various websites trying to find the current gun laws in various states, most especially, CA....and i'm finding discrepancies between different sources. Where do I find accurate gun laws???

    Specifically...i'm trying to find the laws regarding obtaining a handgun here in CA. Some places say that you have to be LICENSED before you can even think about purchasing one.

    Nevermind....I found the 2005 CA firearm laws on the DOJ website. ;)

    That CFL pdf has a lot of good info on it. And like you probably saw yes you do have to be certified, it costs about $25. You also have to have an approved safety device, and a few other things.

    Yeah I'm reading through it right now. Some interesting stuff. I personally like all the laws about self-defence and the use of force. They keep using the phrase "a reasonable person in the same or similar circumstances would believe is necessary" in regards to every case of defending yourself. How much more subjective can you get?!
