What is teh new hotness in the I.T industry?

    I know that the IT market is flooded with Helpdesk and Desktop support people. Everyday, these types of workers are becoming more common than ever before. It seems like there's so many of them, you can pay them cheap.

    I've been in the industry for a few years now, and I'm looking for a new path, what is considered to be the new hot technology?

    My guess is Wireless ISP? Maybe IT Security? What's are your inputs about these technologies?

    Security as vulnerabilities are coming out every day.
    Biometrics (fingerprint recognition, face recognition, speech recognition) / Computer Vision / Sound Engineering
