MIL What is PT like in the fleet?

    What is PT like in the fleet?

    Like Monday, Wednesday, Friday are long 5+ mile runs with calisthetics, etc. etc. or what's it usually like?

    TRN, insdav, kidhero, bigfodee,........ eyob?

    I'll just say ...I hate how we PT. Not that it's bad, it just doesn't make sense.

    i think that pretty much goes for any element of the military.. and any military... out of date, unsafe, too much of it at the wrong hours, etc.

    In the canadian army there is now a civilian agency responsible for physical fitness that actually does an excellent job... they work the hell out of you but I don't think I've ever seen someone get injured in their sessions (rarely, if ever)...stuff like morning PT and obstacle course is still run by military staff though.

    hey man :bigthumb: .. reg force sig o. still in my phases, just a regular lazy ass civilian during the school year apart from a parade or 2. you ?

    I would agree with Insdav3. Shit makes no sense.

    We try to mix it up. Usually ends up being more running though. I would prefer to do more upper body workouts.


    Sometimes we run to a point and do pyramids, then back. It all depends.


    PT in my school was dumb as fuck though. We did all sorts of stupid stuff.
