what is omni outliner

    It's on my mac, I guess it came with it.. is it the full version that I can update or not?

    is it like MS onenote, been trying to find out but can't find much

    the omnigroup makes great software. keep it, learn it, and love it

    most of omni's software is just great for organizing whatever. that and they pay a lot of attention to the little details so things just work intuitively how you would expect them to. plus, they manage to make the most mundane of tasks more fun to do and the results look great.

    omnigraffle is a great charting kind of app. if you ever need to do flowcharts or visio kind of things, this app is awesome

    omnioutliner is great if you have to ever work with any sort of size-able checklist.

    omniobjectmeter used to be a favorite of mine as a developer for finding memory leaks.

    when i was at apple, i used these three quite frequently for planning and developing my code (e.g. showing how data flows through an app or how different components interact). they're just great organizational tools.

    omnigraffle is awesome, I use it daily to create figures for research papers. I downloaded the omniplan demo as well, it's nice if you want a gantt chart for project management type stuff
