I was thinking 190lbs is what I should shoot for. Any recommendations/suggestions?

But honestly, if you aren't trying to BB, which is impossible anyway...I would think a good weight for an average person being 5'8'' is something around 170 maybe?

I say that talking about an average person, not someone who weight trains, and not someone who is just a fatass either.

Depends on your age as well I would think

I think 142 is the best possible weight for a 5'8"-5'9" male.

Entirely depends on what you are going for.
Bodyfat is also important in discussing an ideal weight for a height.

    I am a tad over 5' 8" and sitting 205 @ 10-11%.
So if your goal (like mine) is to be large, lean, and be athletic I would say a good number would be 215-220lbs @ 8%... This is ideally of course.

Stop speculating what your weight "should be" and just starting eating and lifting. Once you make actual progress you'll be able to determine what weight you like the look/strength of your body at the best.

well i think its pointless for me to cut at this stage of the game...especially with summer almost over...i planned on bulking from fall to next spring...and then cut during the middle of spring...to get me ready for summer...what do you think?

this question is fucking stupid. The appropriate weight is what you want to achieve. And even that won't work because if you truly enjoy the sport of lifting then you are constantly wanting to be better which requires change in your weight. You don't just hit god status and sit like that for the rest of your life never increasing weights.
