Depends how long you've been training for. For intermediate lifters you can expect about 10 lbs a year.

10lbs of lean mass is a pretty good bit.

How much weight should a person try and add on a weekly basis? I remember christophers saying something to the effect of it being possible to put on about equal ratio of lean/fat mass when bulking, so 1lb/2 weeks? It seems like that would mean most weeks it would be difficult to even tell if you were over maintenance. Dmeastro said he put on 8lbs of LBM in the last 3 months, and I thought he was a relatively intermediate weight lifter.

2-3lbs can be attainable, 2lbs is pretty ideal.

I've probably put on about 40lbs of muscle in a little over 3 years of training. 10lbs of muscle is quite a bit.

I've gained about 70 lbs and I'd venture to say that 20 of it is muscle, and that's probably overestimating
