A friend of mine is selling his 15" Powerbook for $1700 is that a fair price?

    specs are:
    g4 1.67ghz
    ati radion 9700 128mb
    512 mb ram
    80 gig hd
    bluetooth/airport xtreme

    perfect condition.

    edit:
he said he would include M$ office student and teacher edition and the Final Cut Studio HD.

as is, I wouldn't pay that. but with that software, I would. Final Cut Studio HD itself (express) is $300 and the Studio package is $1300.

$1700? I was only able to get $1800 for mine close to a year ago. If he finds someone to pay $1700 for it, let me know who it is so I can sell them some air.

Is the software coming only installed, or is he giving you the disks and boxes as well... not bootlegged crap.

the M$ office includes the discs, and the final cut suite is an educational (mass license) version with burned copys (yet fully legal)
