    you'd get madder fps if you switch to Intel from the AMD. The E6420 should be within $20 of the AMD, a decent Asus or Intel board with the P35 chipset should be close to the same price as the AM2 board you have quoted. Everything else you have will work fine.

    In the realm of system performance today with all the available parts, Intel > AMD.

    expect a lot of BSODs on that Asus M2N

    Two things:

    If you won't be doing SLI, then don't get a board geared towards it.

    And unless you are running huge resolutions, you won't see a bit of difference between the 640mb and 320mb versions of that card. (on most apps)

    You could get a Gigabyte P35 Intel chipset board with a Q6600 for the same money and bump the Q6600 to 3ghz with no trouble at all.

    or you could get an intel board and actually have something that is reliable.
