What herbal supplements should I take daily?

    I want to get back into shape and try herbal supplements in the meantime. I know I can't get all my nutrients from food.

    Right now I take:

    3 capsules of Flax oil
    3 multivitamins
    6 capsules ginseng
    1 capsule melatonin (temporary)
    2 capsules Ginko biloba


    That is 15 capsules per day, not sure I should change that any. ANyone have any suggestions for what I should take daily and what I shouldn't? Different supplements?

    I don't think herbs are worth taking. Vitamins/minerals on the other hand...

    Flintstones chew ables (multi-vit)
    fish oil
    whey
    creatine

    stick to the basics

    Keep the multi, switch between fish and flax oil because they have a somewhat different effect and also because fish oil is more absorbed by the body. Melatonin is for sleep problems I guess, you might try to gradually decrease your intake everyday to see its effects. 1 pill, 1/2 pill, 1/4 pill, 1/4 pill, stop, assess.

    with that much gingko and ginseng, i wouldn't be surprised to hear you have sleep problems.
