cloverfieldnews.com at it's peak (when the movie came out) about 20k uniques a day sending about the same amount to steaknbj.com (my forums). It wasn't monetized as well as it could have been, but i'm happy with it. Just hope they put out a sequel now.

it was successful because the marketing of the movie gave me something to post about.

    MDP Enterprises, LLC
Online poker web forums and home game listing sites
(www.xx-poker.com where xx = u.s. state abbr. -- we had one for each U.S. state as well as bankroll4free.com, pokerads.net (where people purchased ads that ran on all sites), and wearthenuts.com).

In its prime we made around $26,000/month in net revenue which includes bankroll4free.com.

After the Safe Port Act I shut down all sites but www.md-poker.com (the first site) and have not touched the site in over 1 1/2 years and it still makes me anywhere from $1500 to $2500/month in net revenue.

I am working on a new project now that I hope will be huge. I am still looking for a partner for this venture (no funds required -- just talent).

CrazyVinyls.Com - as far as revenue, we gain most new businesses annually from this site. As far as unique visitors, it doesn't have much to show for (about 500 unique visits monthly).

Sportbikers.Net - we make a small amount of money through advertisers and Adsense, about 25k uniques monthly.

Current sites make enough to pay the bills and play around a little.

    Past sites I've sold:

congablast.com - community based on freebies that was popular back in the day. Didn't really monetize it at the time (unfortunately) but still probably made about 20k worth of freebies and cash over the year I had it. Sold it for a little over 2k last year and it hasn't had much done at all

alllayedout.com - one of my mid-sized myspace resource sites...sold it to pay off a debt for 6k.

I'm planning to try to sell off a bunch of my sites soon so I can focus more on specific projects...I have sites I bought a year ago and haven't touched since lol. Such a waste.

Kewlb, are you still in the poker game besides the one site? I haven't really researched the whole change much at all but have read that some people think it will be reversed or something like that. I've wanted to get into poker some but don't know anything about the new laws and such.

I am ready to bring all sites back up in a moments notice -- but until laws are changed/reversed I will keep it to on single low-profile site and be happy making residuals from various affiliate deals.

most of my sites are for companies, ie, brochure ware.
My only site that is ad-based revenue generating is finally making about $100 a month LOL. Its a start :hs:

Really, Ive made enough on my sites to allow me to buy domains and have basically free hosting for about 8 years now. Im content with that.
Once I get around to it, I will be focusing on more revenue generating projects, but, time is always an issue.

    You giving good deals? :x:

Eventually I'll need some new custom stuff...

    EDIT:

And to add my most successful site?

    www.dubbsy.com
Photography 'business' I did. Shot a car show locally and ended up with links and images out all over North America basically... I've pretty well forgotten about it for the last year and a half though.

We usually do business 2 business, but can do custom stuff. As far as discount, it's reasonable for low quantities but we can usually give good deals on larger quantity orders. We have a lot of website/forum customers that either give away the decals as a way to promote or sell them to generate revenue.

Is this revenue all from ads/sponsors/monetization or do you sell products?

Nope. All we do s aggregate people who want more friends and point tem to each other's add box. Most other adder sites are against ToS because they scrape the servers for pictures and user names.

I'm having trouble the second time around; it's not as viral so I need to implement a few of my marketing strategies for FriendFury 2.0.

Maybe I'll write up an EDU or some story of how I got there.
