when you stop working out? Let's say you have a good mon, tues, thur, fri routine going and you just stop. Keep the diet what you would normally eat for maintaining. What happens? Does the muscle eventually just get metabolized for energy? How fast would you start losing strength? I'm not looking to do this, just curious as to what would happen and I've been finding conflicting stuff through Google.

Its going to depend on the amount of muscle we're talking about and the amount of activity during your day. Your body has no problems holding on to lean mass but it won't hold what it doesn't use.

Its more complicated than that... your body will retain muscle until it can't support it.

Out of 19 responses, only 1-2 are helpful for this guy. Great job guys!
