Right now my Pre-ban Colt AR is. I installed a retractable stock on it and just put a new tactical sling on it. It jst looks so cool, it gets all my fondle time. (I think the GF is getting jealous)

    :bsflag: without pics.

i just got my EOTech 552, so my beat around Bushmaster carbine would be owning me at the moment.

Once i get comfortable with the 552, it goes onto my Eagle/Colt AR and that will own me.

I'm thinking about picking up an HK91 clone. I have a bad hankering for a .308 assault rifle.

Walther P22. Fun to shoot. Cheap on ammo. Sleek looking too.

my AR is pretty much the only thing i'm working on right now. if i did do something like buy an FAL, i'd be all scatterbrained, trying to buy gear for both it and my AR. mags, mag pouches, harnesses, tactical goodies, ammo, all that stuff. so, i'm just sticking with one platform at a time. the V-tac sling and buttstock sling adaptor is my next purchase. that, and more mags and ammo.

I would have to say one of the following -- either my pre-ban AR or my Wilson CQB. They go hand in hand, but the 1911 gets the most rangetime.

Not according to me, anyone i know with any credible experience, the US military, or several militaries overseas.

Anyone who depends on one seems to agree that it is certainly is a more maintenance dependant design than others that could be used, but the benefits in accuracy and adaptability are worth it.

To quote an account from Iraq regarding the reliability of the M16/M4:
"The only people having trouble with their rifles were the REMFs who washed their weapons with water and drowned them in CLP."

My AR's have ben pretty jam free, and they are Colt, Bushmaster, & DPMS. The one jam I had was an empty casing got jammed above the bolt. I had to pull off the stock to get that one out, but I regard it as a freak one time occurance.

yeah, and that particular thing is usually a magazine problem, not a rifle problem. it happens enough to bad magazines that i've seen it occur twice in my presence to two different people, both using really dirty mags.

i've been tempted by the cheap P22 and the cheap suppressors available for it as well...maybe. :x: Just for fun..

meathead, rear echelon mother fucker is the less than affectionate term some of the more gungho front line troops have for military people who don't actually engage in combat.

squirrels are a good reason for a good .22 with a suppressor. my friend uses his suppressed AR when the squirrels aren't in line with any houses or people or anything double-plus-unshoot-friendly. sometimes a good 10/22, does the job. with one shot, no one is going to call the cops in the daytime anyways.
