About to place an order at Amazon, decided I want some new GNs. What should I get? I've read the following:

Basically all of Alan Moore's stuff
    The Dark Knight Returns
    Batman Year One
    Ronin
    Kingdom Come
    Sandman
    Red Son

I'm forgetting some. I was thinking Y The Last Man, but the art is really a turnoff for me, I don't like that super-cartoonish look. Maybe Preacher? Are there are any good Hulk or Captain America GNs? For some reason I really like them. I'm looking for something more than just the regular BOOM-BANG-POW of superhero comics, so I don't usually read them unless they have a really great reputation.

    Any help is appreciated.

Check out the Comic Recommendations thread.

I'd recommend The GOON but I think you'd hate the art.

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to check that out. I kinda like the art in it from what I've seen...I guess what I mean is I don't like art that looks like it's from Teen Titants(like Red Son).

I would really give Y: The Last Man a chance. It is really really good.

Fables is also great. I think it is out in TB. And Walking Dead as well.

Preacher is better than anything you mentioned, outside of Sandman

Yeah I'm absolutely plowing through it right now, read the first 12 issues in two hours last night. It has its cheesy moments and some very clear, easy plot devices but all in all it's a great read.

    Kingdom Come, Nice choice.
    Also look into 'Justice'.

Oh, and any Invincible trades you can find,
    Along with The Walking Dead
