is what my mother had said on Saturday when I helped my brother and his wife move into their new house. They wanted me to move the fold out couch :ugh:

I kept saying that I was really sore and couldn't move much shit...but theykept giving me the big crap, tables, dressers, etc.

Having worked as a mover before, lifting heavy furniture and shit and carrying it around (especially up stairs) is very taxing on the back. I can't imagine doing a 10-12 hour work day after a full back workout.

on the contrary, some light weigth lifting (not enough to tax the CNS) after a day (even half a day) or is good as it gets more blood and therefore nutrients going to the muscles which can aid recovery

When I had to move my house out myself (ex-wife was pregnant at the time and we didn't have enough stuff to make paying movers worth it) I just separated the bed frame from the couch frame and took it in two pieces. Much easier that way.

I use mine all the time. Be it in sports or helping around the house or with my dad's construction company.
