I need to get an amp install kit, and was told by best buy to go with a 4 gauge power wire. My brother says that's a waste of money and only need to go with 12 gauge? is he right?

The wire length will have to be about 15 feet.

    my amp info...
    14.4V Dynamic Power At 2 Ohms 900W
2 OHM Output Power - Full Range 300W
4 OHM Output Power - Full Range 150 Watts

    You want 4awg.

12awg is DANGEROUS if your amp is raated at 900W power.

12awg is okay for speaker connections... Not for power.

    900w is dynamic power.

4ga isnt needed with that amp, however bigger is always better. I wouldnt go above 8ga. :)
