I have always gotten ON Chocolate flavored whey and want to try something new. I am open to any flavor except the tropical punch, so what is the best tasting ON whey protein besides chocolate?? I'd prefer something I won't get tired of after a few shakes (so nothing too strong tasting)

Here are the ones I am considering:
in order of what i am thinking as of right now....

    - Rocky Road
    - Cookies n' Cream
    - Strawberry
    - Vanilla
    - Mint Chocolate Chip

    Which one should I order?

*also, I am ordering from BulkNutrition/1F400......are there any promo codes out there?

i just got the rocky road, i think its real good pwo with maltodextrin/dextrose...otherwise its a little bland.

flavors shouldn't matter as much as the nutrition label on shakes.

Try IDS multi-pro instead of ON. It's similar nutritionally, is 100% whey isolate as opposed to a concentrate blend like on, and tastes better. It's also only a few dollars more for 5lbs.

yes but it also has 10 more calories per scoop. If you were to measure out a 130 calorie serving size of optimum, it would also have 26g of protein.

I wouldnt say outdated but definitly overrated. I dont see how people can deny that better tasting stuff with superior ingredients is out there for nearly the same price. This is especially true if you drink your shakes w/ water and not milk.

Shit almost any brand now adays taste good w/ milk. Being awesome w/ water is the real test.

By "superior ingredients" I mean either a REAL protein blend made of caseins and milk proteins or pure whey isolates. Basically more expensive raw ingredients.

    If you want a blend:
www.trueprotein.com: Milk Protein Isolate w/ any BSL flavoring(dbl it up)
    http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=438: Ultra Peptide

Their are others but those are the cheapest

    Whey Proteins:
    http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=2404: IDS Whey-Isolate
    http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=2404: I-Pro Isolate
    www.allthewhey.com: Any of their Isolate
    www.giantnutrition.com: Any of their Isolates

These ones are of the same 'quality but taste much better:
http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=528: Champion Nutrition all flavors, their new Cookies and Cream is the shit
http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=528: Dynamatize, most flavors, particularly mocha and butter cream toffee

$22 for what I'm assuming is 2 or 2.2 lbs? That is nowhere near the same price as ON.

EDIT: Trueproteins WPC is about the same price, however. I don't know if that is a superior product to ON though. The ION-isolate or whatever is obviously superior, but at double the price.

I said if you want a blend, and if you look at the ingredients they are very different. If you want a whey check out the other ones I posted.

Given that ON isnt a blend it is apples to oranges. I just put those in their b/c some people are retards and label ON as a blend even though it is just a concentrate w/ a little isolate.

those "superior" ingredients aren't going to make a world of difference. secondly, you're comparing a 100% whey product to a protein blend. kind of logicially flawed

That is why I put "SUPERIOR" in brackets, because I think it is the wrong term but couldnt think of another way of specifying it. Hence my statement on the bottom about superior only meaning more expensive. I dont not say shit all about them giving you better results. If you are on a cut and not eating often perhaps you would benefit from a casein protein. Similarily if you have any problems w/ lactose a isolate would be better then a concentrate. Other then those two cases I dont think it matters 2 fucks. Just saying ON is nothing special. They are not exceptionally cheap for what they are offering.

And I pointed out WHY I compared it to protein blends in a post further down that I am sure you just missed. If you look I also compared it to many other whey concentrates/isolates. But I guess people like being nit picky eh?

see, that is the flavor that sounds the best to me BUT i heard bad things about it?

Did they make it better than it used to be?????? or was that a diff. flavor that was "New Formula" or whatever.
