For me, high-rep, high-volume deadlifts. That pain in my lower back just doesn't seem to go away for days. There's also this weighted ab machine at my gym that will make my abs hurt for a few days every single time I use it.

I need to feel really motivated to do either of these exercises :hs:

usually squats and DL's but only occasionally.
when I go for 5rm's on these lifts with my last sets is when I usually feel like I'm gonna puke (plus I'm on a full body routine, so the big 3 are done 2 out of the 3 days together)

squats, dl's, stiff legged dl's, cant tell if its one or a combo of all three but my legs are usually barking at me for several days after.

Skull Crushers usually get my tri's pretty sore

Whats the deal, I'm doing HST right now and it has leg curls as one of the exercises. Why is it worthless?

    what y1997 said

i just don't consider that very "useful"

it only recruits something like 9% of the glutes and has like 0 transfer

other exercises are more functional and build more mass IMO

Deep, heavy squats. A solid squat day used to leave me sore for in the legs for nearly a week. I can longer squat though due to a back injury and I kinda miss the feeling.

A good bench day will fuck me up
    Same with squats

Deadlift messes with me bad if i do like a 20 rep set at the end of a heavy deads

yes and lots of people don't like them :dunno:

    i'm just offering my opinion

GHR/SLD over leg curls any day

    other stuff is useful too.

maybe useless was the wrong word... :noes:

if you insist i can put "i think" infront of everything i say. anything i say is obviously my opinion

i don't get it - you guys promote the whole

"only do compound exercises until you're like a 2k total"

and by doing those u can easily get friggin strong and friggin big/ripped. it's recommended probably cuz it's the best way. then you defend leg curls like its the best exercise in the world

from now on i'll be careful to put "i think" infront to be clear :squint:

im just saying IMO from what I've read I think with limited time in the gym and shit there are better exercises to be done than leg curls.

obviously any exercise using weight = not useles (except kickbacks :nono:) but the point is the time could be better spent I feel.

before I used to do some assisted natural GHRs with my buds and they helped size/functional strength

That's INSANE!! I've known several powerlifters who have broken their back, herniated discs, had back surgery and they all lift more now!! Don't EVER let a doctor tell you what you can or can't do, only you can do that!!

im stronger than the average person but whatever. lifting weights is a secondary thing in my life. eventually i probably wont ever work out again for the rest of my life because i dedicate my time to other things such as a job.

i can still read about it and form opinions based on what I read whether i'm weak or strong
