Id have to say the drill and waking up early other than that its pretty cool
I have too much shit to bitch about
waking up early, duties at all odd times and days.
sweeping and cleaning... i hate it. give me some patch cords or a network to work on and I am happy. hand me a broom and i am sad.
living out of a suitcase definitely sucks.
The lines. I hated standing in some long-ass line everywhere I went, no matter what I was doing or how important/trivial it was - the mother fucking long ass lines were always there.
Dislike: Field day, stupid people in charge of you (like 50 IQ points lower, seriously), retarded sick call procedures, formation runs (i'm a rabbit and don't like to keep pace with slowfucks), O's with superiority complexes, Walking Mattresses, bullshit training and retraining), invasive fucking assholes all around.
Like: range time (A bad day on the range is a still a good day as long as nobody gets hurt), wearing the uniform (yeah I miss it), leading younger troops and trying to make them better, camraderie among your buddies in your unit.
The Hurry up and wate
Guess I've got it good. Don't work or live on a base. Work in a DoD building with about 13 other military folks. No drills, extra duties, or details; show up M-Fri and work my 8 hours. The only thing that sucks is driving to base if I need to go there.
the bullshit. sitting around the company for hours because there is nothing to do, and being handed a task at 1645.
How about the infamous "Do what I meant not what I said."
Yes I am, non agent though. But the stuff i'm doing will really help out in getting a job when I get out.
His avatar would suggest so
Having 6 bosses sucks. My platoon sgt gave me the week off until thursday as I just got back from a pretty taxing deployment then half way through it got cut. BS
I hate having to scan into a computer log, when I enter my building, then fill out another paper log when I enter/leave my studyroom, but's thats all done with, finally.
I'm sorry but ROTC is not the military....
That's the lifestyle I'm heading towards.
working overtime with no time and a half
alot of the stuff that they "teach" in AFROTC is pretty much useless.
I've done that for most of my civilian career.
