    Not a great deal.

Dude basically spent his money on crap. In his mind, this is a great deal, but for anyone else, there is little value in that package. I'd avoid it unless he was willing to give a screaming deal, like $1500 or less.

He must have just walked into a random gun shop and just picked out whatever random crap they had for that rifle.

heavy barrel rifle, questionable twist depending on your use, worthless scope...I'd not be interested in that rifle anyway, ymmv.

If you're able to spend that much money you can do a lot better.

Not a bad deal at todays prices (pistol + rifle). If your looking for value for your money it would be hard to do better unless you got a screaming friend price or was taking advantage of somebody in a bad situation.

As far as the individual guns go they don't meet my criteria so I would not do it personally but I spend way too much on specialized gear.

i don't know anything about ar's so i won't bother typing anything about the rifle, but i'd toss the wolf ammo in the trash, gag. i hate that worthless shit.

I had that same model Kimber, sold it to a dealer that goes to tons of shows in the Ohio and surrounding areas. It could be the one I owned :o

good gun, if it was mine, it's had tons more than 4 shots through it. :mamoru:

Wolf Ammo cycles fine in my AR. Never had a problem with it.

the only wolf ammo i've fired was with my beretta 96. the only ammo i've ever had a problem with has been that wolf ammo, hell maybe it was just a bad batch ?

i've fired box after box of multiple brands with 0 probs with exception of the wolf ammo that i didn't even go thru the entire 100 round box cause i said fuck it and left about 30 rounds at the range as a gift to the next guy who wanted some free ammo, haven't had a problem with any brand before or after.

but who knows, maybe it was an isolated problem

then again i've heard people say that the model 96 was picky with ammo, although this was the only ammo i've ever had issues with

I think its just that some guns are picky with ammo.

Yeah, i know a guy who only shoots Wolf through his Berretta 92FS, never seemed to have any issues. Beretta's weaknesses seems to be it's magazines.

While many guns will cycle just about anything the accuracy of garbage ammo leaves a lot to be desired. Granted most people who shoot garbage ammo do not have the mechanics to take advantage of match ammo anyway.
