My router would not work & I called Comcast. They said it was working fine. I can connect to the net if I connect the modem directly to my laptop, but nothing if I try connecting through the router.

I'm having the worse luck with PCs this week. Just blew $1200 on a laptop due to my previous work (check my earlier thread).

powercycle both router and modem. My cuntcast modem will not accept a new mac address without a powercycle. if that doesn't work, get the mac address of the laptop's ethernet port, log on to the router's admin page, and enter it in the 'clone MAC' page. Then power cycle modem and router.
