They sit in the break area for 7 straight hours and watch everyone else clean up. Seriously disappointed in the Corp after seeing this. It wasn't just these 4 jarheads that did nothing. The entire group of jarheads sat and watched everyone else clean up the mess around them.

And here we have the Air Force at that exact point in time. What is different between these two pics?

I have a short video of them sitting doing nothing also. Their Commander didn't seem to appreciate me taking video of them sitting in the break area. He came and asked me why I was taking pics of his Marines. :greddy:

Bush said 4,000 active duty troops are already in the area and 7,000 more will arrive in the next 72 hours from the Army’s 82nd Airborne from Fort Bragg, N.C., and 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood, Texas and the Marines’ 1st and 2nd Expeditionary forces from Camp Pendleton, Calif., and Camp Lejeune, N.C.

    They'll be coming soon enough.

The USMC reserve AAV unit from Louisiana was out there the very next day after the levy's broke and rescued hundreds of people in AAV's who otherwise would have been stranded and unreachable by anyone else, so don't say the USMC is just sitting around doing nothing. The Marines were there as first reponders with the Coast Guard days before the national guard and everyone else even decided showed up.

Also, on CNN last night they said there were "elite special forces" just sitting on the tarmac of the New Orleans airport doing absolutely nothing because they had no mission to go on because nobody was incharge and nobody was directing anything. The term special forces is thrown around loosely in the media though, so I have no idea who they were really talking about.

You're missing his point. Why wouldn't they help those around them? No one has to declare martial law for those lazy shitbags to help them clean up the base.

most marines are stuck on shit detail too often already. if it takes a cat-5 hurricane to get some chair force boys outside and actually doing some work, hey, it's fine.

man, ppl in this thread are dense.
hes not talking about cleaning up in Louisiana nutheads, hes talking about cleaning up their own damn base, like all the airforce guys are doing right around them. So while other ppl are cleaning up their base, they were just lounging around and kicking back.

Well now we have photographic evidence that the Air Force does not always sit on their ass, and the Marine Corps does not always work.

 look at all the non-Marines coming up in this thread. So quick to hate. The fly-boys were probably land-scaping for flowers to go in anyway :greddy:
