I've been fucking around with the camera, and have come up with some crazy pictures by doing some ridiculious things with the camera. Granted it's 'art', and not proper photography, but i'm having fun with it...

    thoughts?

    sorta... but controlled...

I'm actually getting to the point where I can predict what comes out. Sorta like actually taking a pic...

but while it is mainly 'shaking the camera around while looking at light', is it something worth pursuing? What do you think of the finished product?

I hate them, but I'm not a fan of "modern art" either.

    fair enough.

How would you rate them in the scale of modern art though?

I mean.. don't take offense to this, but what kind of skill is involved in taking shots like this? or splattering paint on a canvas and telling everyone is symbolized your internal conflict

Yeah, I can see what you're going for but it's just not my type of art. Colors are pretty cool but it's not something I'd do with a camera (to each his own, I guess).

I agree with you. I completely understand what you're saying...

I've just been fucking around with the camera, and a few people that have seen em IRL, thought they were cool.

So I decided to give OTAP a crack at em.

I guess there's not so much skill involved as there is complete individuality. I can go to a bridge and shoot it, but 100 billion people have already shot similar angles to mine. Maybe a bit different, but my shots could be recreated, if someone stood in that same spot.

    You can't recreate these.

No idea what i'll do with em though.

To be honest, I'm not a modern art person either. They won't go on my wall.

But if the interest is out there, why not dip into it?
