Is it a decent gun?
No Mark XIX, No Care.
seems like a great gun from that website, except the feed issue from the magazine.
Another (more recent) thread.
as long as it is attached to a drawer slide concealed in your sleeve
I own it in 9mm semi-compact all steel and love it. Go for it.
I would consider a 9mm and a CZ.
The baby eagle is loosely based off the CZ. The CZ is a better gun with a better trigger and easier to get aftermarket parts. The 9mm is less expensive to shoot so you can practice more. It's all about shot placement. Modern 9mm defense ammo is quite capable. I like the CZ 75sa fitted with the competition trigger and hammer from ghostholster.com
If you set on the 45 then consider the CZ 97 w/ same competition trigger and hammer for 2 lbs single action goodness.
There was a thread over at CGN about what your favorite pistol of all time was, and it was overwhelming the amount of people who all said CZ 75. The only other pistol that was even close was the Browning Hi Power.
The baby eagle in .45ACP is heavy and has a clunky feel. It just screams "CZ knockoff!"
I don't care for the high power. The CZ is a much better gun with a better trigger and more magazine capacity.
This thread makes me want to watch Taxi Driver again.
