The norico ak, 1911, and shotguns are all pretty decent.

Yeah good luck getting a norico 1911 these days. They were pretty good base guns to build up into a nice 1911.

I cant really say anything about those but my SKS has jammed more than a gun should and the bolt closes on a partially ejected, unfired round Id say less than every 20 rounds. May be just my gun in particaular though...

Maybe just a stiff spring or maybe the bolt

Probably your gun, Norinco SKS's are the best ones out there next to the Russians which you can't really find anymore.

I missed out on a Russian SKS this weekend. There was a gun auction flyer circulating around all the guys at work but I couldnt make it. A lot of older civilian arms but there was a no 4 mk1 enfield, russian sks, and a couple other rifles.

I also missed out on one the day I bought my norinco because the gun store owner swore up and down it was a chinese rifle. It was in worse shape for the same price but I picked up the norinco instead. I figured if hed been in the business for 20+ years he knew what he was talking about. I guess he was mistaken. Shouldve went with my gut instinct. Was ony $180 too :hs:

The thing about Norinco's are they are hit or miss on the quality. They're really good or really bad. Sounds like you got one that is a miss.
