as opposed to in a physical book?

I just read an article about it and wanted to get your opinions.

I've only read comics/manga in physical book form :dunno:

I have the entire Japanese version Maison Ikkoku graphic novels set. They look awesome on my shelf (a few of them are like faded from the sun or something tho, but they were that way when i got them :hs: )

I prefer reading it online because it cuts down on physical space and costs nothing and if I hate the manga, I'll have only wasted a little time and not time plus money.

I'll read it on my computer but if I really like the Manga I'll just buy the hard copy.

Yeah I have the full set of Japanese graphic novels (the smallish ones where the first chapter is "colored" with orange and the rest is black and white).

I also have the final book in another edition (altho it's the same story). I believe the original Japanese graphic novels there were 17 books (maybe 15? I'm not at home so I can't check). But they were re-relased in slightly bigger and thicker graphic novel form with better quality pages and print, and I have book 10 (which is the last book) in that series as well, in Japanese.

Next time I go home I'll take a few pics of them and show you what I'm talking about.

I got them on eBay years ago. I just saw some auctions the other day for the Japanese graphic novels if you want them. They were like $10 each.

I just recently found out there's a live action Maison Ikkoku movie. It's on youtube :wtf:

I'm used to reading manga on the computer, but I do enjoy reading the physical book. I'd never actually buy actual manga because I don't want to spend the money and I don't need people to see stacks/shelves of manga and go :hsugh:

I started out buying manga, but quickly switched to reading online. Buying them gets really damn expensive.

There are still a few I have bought/will buy one day just cause I really liked them and want a hard copy to reread or let others read.

I think I appreciate the art more when it is on paper, but it's too expensive to buy them so I read online.

Same here. I read on my computer, not from a book and not online. Using CDisplay everything is full screen with simple keyboard controls. Online they tend to be too small to comfortably read and I don't get the books because free entertainment is the only kind I can afford.

i have like 20 dvds full of comics and manga

right now i prefer to just view online because i havent found any new torrent sites that deal in comic/manga

i've bought akira, and started buying 2 other series, both of which were discontinued then had their chapters per volume halved and price jacked up $3 per volume, i have since stopped buying them.

i'd buy an E-reader, but the current prices and resolution are lacking
