Seriously considering it as my next purchase. :noes:

    Kershaw SpecBump.

My current EDC's are my leftie Emerson Commander w/wave and a Benchmade Griptilian. I alternate, depending on my mood.

This Kershaw would be my first assisted opener.

    Also considering this one.

    It's called the Needs Work.

Smaller knife overall, much cheaper, but also not as "solid" feeling and definitely not as cool. I know cool factor shouldn't really matter, but let's face it, it does. :dunno:

I havent had that many kershaws, but the ones I've got are solid. I may have to check those out at bladeshow.

I like the recurve blade profile. Reminds me of my Spyderfly.

:werd: It's a very good looking knife.

I had the chance to handle one at my local swapmeet. It's very solid feeling, with sure/confidence inspiring engagement and lock. The G10 handle is grippy enough, like my Emerson, and it seems just the right size for my big paws.

The guy at the swapmeet (been selling there for 27 years) quoted me $115, i believe, which is good and far less than my Commander was at $240.

This leads me to wonder about the build quality as compared to my Emerson and my Benchmade. Both have proven to be very well built as EDC's and both hold an edge very well.

Can anyone comment as to teh build quality of the Kershaw's, when compared to Emerson and/or Benchmade knives? :noes:

I use mine to pry shit and cut shit and it's never bent or chipped. I just sharpened it a couple nights ago for the first time in close to a year. It didn't really need it, but I was bored :o

While it's not the end all be all of knives, it's a great EDC. It gets the job done and if I bust it some how I'm only out 60 bucks instead of 150 or something.

    Nice.

What metal is your blade made out of and how's the edge? While i love my Emerson, it doesn't get near as sharp as my Griptilian.

Is the bottom one a scallion? I like the way the Kershaw logo was etched in the side of it. Nice knives :bigthumb:

Any of you guys know if Kershaw makes any of their models with switchable pocket clips for left pocked carry? :dunno:

Most of their knives can be carried tip up or tip down, but i've yet to receive a response back from them on whether or not they can be switched to leftie.
