A little backround. I'm 20 years old, 6 foot 185lbs. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrom. Up until I was 18ish, I was 6 foot, 130lbs soaking wet. Basically, b/c of the IBS my body didn't hold anything. So the doctors put me on various medications and I now have it under control. The problem is that two of the meds (I take 3) have caused me to gain alot of weight. Now, I have never worked out before, really never thought I needed to, so its almost all fat.

I have now decide to make a change in my life and get into better shape. I don't feel I need to cut my weight down, just tone what I have into muscle. To me an ideal weight is around 175 so 10lbs can be shed, but I don't want to turn into a stick again. Anyways, so my brother who is 28, a cop and Army LT, told me that this would be the perfect program for me. I trust him and he said this would provide a good base. So I'm starting tomorrow at Golds Gym and wanted some opinions on it.

you need to add more to ur shoulder work out and more to ur back workout as well as adding hamstrings on leg days, in my opinion.

If you're only going to train 3 days a week, then i would just go with a push/pull routine

    Day 1: Upper Body Push
    Day 2: Legs
    Day 3: Upper Body Pull
