what does F&N think of my workout?

    what do you guys think? any suggestions? I'm trying to lose weight and maintain lean mass. is 7 days a week to much?

    mon- 15 mins elliptical, 6 sets 8-12 reps bench, 3x12 dips (not weighted i'm about 220lbs) 3x12 tricep push
    tues- 15 min elliptical, preacher curl machine 3x12, barbell curls 3x12, pulldowns 3x12, and stationary row 3x12
    wed- 45 minutes elliptical weight loss program, burns about 500 cal
    thur- 15 elliptical, leg press 5x12, calves 4x15
    fri- 15 elliptical, leg curl 3x12 leg extension 3x12
    sat & sun, 45 elliptical weight loss program.

    I read the stickies, don't really see problem with working out everyday. I only hit muscles 4 days of the week then cardio the others, every muscle only once a week

    cause noobs get advice from other noobs and think it works or dont read into things that much and dont know any better

    its medical, when i bend (or squat) gas inside my body will move and do strange things to my heart, its worse if i'm bearing weight. It has something to do with my gerd.

    with the noquarter workout you end up hitting your arms twice a week, is there a problem with putting chest and tri's on the same day?

    u can change it to chest/tris back/shoulders/bi

    or do it as is.

    after or before the workout.. its cardio u can do it whenever:ugh:

    That is a pretty horrible routine.

    As said, follow Noquarter's program as much as you can and replace exercises and adjust volume if you need to.

    If weightloss is a priority, its fine to do it before though it may take away from your resistance training.

    ok, i'm convinced ill do his routine, starting tomarrow. What would be a good replacement for the squats?

    4 sets leg ext 10-15reps
    4 sets squat 6-10 reps
    3 sets leg press 10-12 reps
    4 sets leg curl 10-12reps
    3 set db stiff legged or walking lunges

    I'm not familiar with the gas thing... but if deads are also out of the question, could always just do 6 sets of leg press instead.

    I don't understand how a person can even lift weights or walk with this gas issue

    The top sphincter of my stomach doesn't close properly allowing lots of gas to come out(G.E.R.D.), if i don't burp on a regular basis then it builds up and can cause heart arrhythmias in certain situations. Bending over is one of the things that causes the arrhythmias, another thing is jumping rope for some reason. EKG's are normal and no family history of heart disease. It mostly sucks lol.

    I'm with fatdude on this. :dunno:

    I guess you're the only one here to know and properly assess what exercises you can and can't do.

    yeah leg press is fine, doesn't irritate me if i'm in a seated position.
