    ...infrared controller for? i got this infrared thing on my laptop but it seems useless...what do you use urs for?

    infrared controller? do you mean the IRDA port? I sometimes use it to sync with my Palm and H/PC. Or, if for some reason this happens, I could use it to network with someone else and swap files or something without disks.

    There are some programs out there where you could use it as a remote control for your tv, stereo, etc. They work, but not too well.

    i synchronize my outlook calendar with my cell phone calendar. nice to have it vibrate and remind me to do things.
